The First Year
Once you have made your move, the first year will not be easy. Most Partners find 4 challenges:
1) Moving your clients in the first 90 days without having a big blip in your Billings
2) Learning how to manage the resources of your new firm on behalf of your clients so that you can deliver the benefits you anticipated to your clients
3) Integrating with your Practice Chair so that you will receive the support you need to be successful in your Practice area
4) Integrating into the Partnership and cultivating relationships with your new Senior Partners to validate their decision to bring you into their firm and to gain their support for future promotional and compensation opportunities
