Key points in the Lateral Process are:

1) Making the decision to lateral or stay at your present firm

2) Accurately assessing your Portable Book

3) Selecting the right firms to approach

4) Initial presentation of a Candidate so that the Firm will commit to a meeting

5) Working with the Firm to have the right Partners be available to answer your questions and to help you get a feel for the real firm you will be at

6) Preparing for and Anticipating each meeting so the Candidate has an excellent meeting and moves the ball forward

7) Submitting your Client List early so the firm can do a Conflicts check and not waste your time

8) Completing and submitting an excellent Partner Profile

9) Assisting the Candidate in negotiations to get the best compensation package

10) Assisting/Coaching the Candidate in presenting their move to each Client so their clients understand why they are moving and understand "What's in it for them"

11) Providing post-Lateral support to assist the Partner integrating into their new firm and being successful in their new Partnership

12) Coaching the Lateral Partner in how to grow their business and leverage their new firm with their clients
